Carbon Offset
Green Globe Certification partners with Atmosfair to provide CO2 reporting, CO2 mitigation potential analysisand CO2 compensation by means of CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) Gold Standard projects to theMICE, Travel and Tourism industry. Atmosfair standards and methods are science based and internationally accepted throughout the industry.
Atmosfair’s carbon offset projects include: solar energy substitution for diesel power generation in India; efficient wood fuel stoves in Nigeria; and small hydro power generation in Honduras, among many others.

Carbon offsetting is an essential criterion for tourism businesses to be awarded certification by Green Globe Certification.
